Fulbright Alumni can continue to be part of the Fulbright network and support the ongoing Fulbright Program through the following opportunities:

Fulbright Alumni

One of the exciting aspects of the Fulbright Program is an ongoing professional network with distinguished alumni from Australia, the United States and 150 countries throughout the world. The Fulbright alumni also have the opportunity to connect with Australian and U.S. government officials along with corporate and academic representatives through a range of events.

Australian Fulbright Alumni Association (AFAA)

The Australian Fulbright Alumni Association supports Fulbright scholars to and from Australia; facilitates academic, professional and social activitiesin Australia and the U.S.; and generates funds to support the AFAA and further Fulbright Scholarships. The AFAA supports regular functions throughout the year in Australia and the U.S. to recognise and welcome the new Fulbright scholars. You will find more details in the Calendar of Events.

Alumni Initiative Grant

The Fulbright Alumni Initiative Grant is designed to assist alumni of the Australian-American Fulbright Commission to continue to cultivate collaboration and relationships with institutions which the alumnus was involved with during their Fulbright scholarship period. Fulbright Alumni Scholarships

Through their generous donations Fulbright alumni support two unique and distinguished Fulbright Postgraduate Scholarships.  The Fulbright Australian Alumni (WG Walker) Scholarship for Australians and the Fulbright U.S. Alumni Scholarship for an American. Both are granted to the top ranked postgraduate applicans for that year. 

These scholarships are a positive way for Fulbright alumni to contribute and provide a Fulbright experience for future talented young Australians and Americans.  To support these scholarships please see Donations.

 

Chapters of the AFAA

The AFAA has established state Chapters in Australia and regional Chapters in the U.S. to coordinate a range of professional and social activities to engage Australian Fulbright scholars, visiting U.S. Fulbright scholars, alumni and the U.S. Consulates and Embassy. To ensure you receive updated information on the Fulbright Program and invitations to all the Fulbright events, join the AFAA.

Fulbright Alumni Directory

The Alumni Directory is a resource available to all Fulbright scholars and alumni in Australia and the United States to continue building your professional and social networks. It contains a listing of all Australian and U.S. Fulbright Alumni. Alumni will be issued with an ID and logon details.If you require logon details for yourself please email us at Alumni.
