Fulbright Alumni Initiative Grant (FAIG)
Applications for the 2013 FAIG have been extended until the 30th of April
The aim of this grant is to help build the individual Fulbright experience into long term institutional collaboration and linkages. The grant supports any activities which achieve both short and long terms objectives of ongoing institutional collaboration. It does not support individual research.
Grant Benefits
This grant provides AUD10,000 to support either an Australian or American Fulbright Alumnus and their original home or host institutions to develop innovative projects that will foster institutional linkages and sustainable, mutually beneficial relationships.
Grant Duration
The grant is to be utilised between 1 July 2013 and 30 June 2014. The project visit is to be between three to twelve weeks.
Eligibility
The FAIG is available to our Australian and U.S. Fulbright Alumni who were awarded their Fulbright Scholarship between 2004 and 2013 (inclusive). To check your eligibility examine the ‘Scholarship Details’ section on your entry in our Alumni Online Directory (http://www.fulbright.com.au/fulbright-alumni/online-directory.html).
It is expected that some continued contact has been maintained with the home and/or host institution in some way to now establish this project.
Application Information
Alumni complete an application form, with letters of support from their home and/or host institutions with an expectation the participating institution(s) is also contributing some funds and / or in- kind support, e.g. accommodation, meals, administrative support.
The application will indicate the:
- project description
- the long term collaborative or linkage outcomes, and
- the support (funding and in-kind) being provided by the institutions involved.
- If some collaboration is already in place this proposal should clearly articulate how this grant will value add to what has already taken place and build the platform for future collaboration.
It is envisaged that this grant would assist complete work (publications, collaborative agreement, exchange) and/or consolidate the framework for future collaborative research/cooperation thus leading to larger collaborative research grant proposals to other organisations.
