Donations
From little things big things grow!
Donations do not have to be large to make a big difference to the Fulbright Program. Over the past 15 years Australian Alumni through small annual donations of $25 and above have established the distinguished Fulbright Australian Alumni (WG Walker) Fund and Scholarship, which goes to the highest ranked Australian Postgraduate Scholar. This fund is now valued at over $400,000 and in five years time will fully support this scholarship in perpetuity.
U.S. Alumni have recently established a similar fund and scholarship for Americans to Australia.
Through these donations we can help ensure more talented Australian and Americans have access to a unique Fulbright experience.
Scholarship Funds
A wide range of Fulbright Scholarship Funds have now been established. Donations are used at the sole discretion of the Fulbright Commission, however you can indicate your preference to a specific Fund. These currently include:
- Fulbright Australian Alumni (WG Walker) Scholarship
- Fulbright U.S. Alumni Scholarship
- Fulbright Queensland Scholarship
- Fulbright South Australia Scholarship
- Fulbright Tasmania Scholarship
- Fulbright Victoria Scholarship
- Fulbright Western Australia Scholarship
Alumni Funds
The Fulbright Alumni Scholarships support two additional Fulbright Scholarships for an Australian postgraduate to study in the U.S. and an American postgraduate to study in Australia. The scholarships are a positive way for Fulbright alumni to contribute and provide the Fulbright experience for future talented young Australians and Americans. The Australian and U.S. alumni established the separate alumni awards through annual donations.
The Fulbright Alumni Scholarships are the most distinguished Fulbright Scholarships granted by the Commission. The Alumni Scholarship goes to the top ranked Australian and American Fulbright Postgraduate applicants.
