Welcome to the Fulbright Australian Program.

The mission of the Australian-American Fulbright Commission is to promote mutual understanding through educational and cultural exchange between Australia and the United States. It does this primarily through the administration of Fulbright scholarships.

For Australian Citizens

Fulbright Scholarships are available to Australian citizens from all fields to undertake research or study in the United States for 3-12 months. Visit the application pages for Australian citizens.

For U.S. Citizens

Fulbright Scholarships are available to American citizens from all fields to undertake research or study in Australia for 3-12 months. Visit the application pages for U.S. citizens.

Anne Wexler Scholarship applicants

Anne Wexler Master's Scholarship in Public Policy, for an Australian to complete a U.S. Master's degree and for a U.S. applicant to complete an Australian Master's degree, are open from 1 July - 30 September 2013.

 

Please note: 

  • Persons applying for or holding permanent residence in the United States or AUSTRALIA are not eligible.
  • Persons who are citizens of both AUSTRALIA and the United States are also ineligible.
