2013 Presentation Dinner for Fulbright and Anne Wexler Scholars

The 2013 Presentation Dinner for Fulbright and Anne Wexler Australian Scholars was held on 21 March 2013, in the Great Hall at Parliament House, Canberra, Australia. About 300 people came to see the 27 Fulbright and Anne Wexler Scholars being presented with their certificates, letters and pins.

The event featured a video from the Prime Minister, the Hon Julia Gillard MP; the Ambassador of the United States, Jeffrey Bleich; Professor Steven Schwartz, Chair, Fulbright Commission Board, Minister Chris Bowen, then Minister for Tertiary Education, and the co-hosts, Professor Margaret Harding, DVC The Australian National University and Professor Stephen Parker, VC of the University of Canberra.

At the event a major new collaboration between the Australian-American Fulbright Commission in Australia and Kansas State University was announced. The university will sponsor two Fulbright scholarships that give Australian scholars the opportunity to conduct research in Manhattan in collaboration with a university professor. This makes Kansas State University the first U.S. educational institutional partner of the Australian-American Fulbright Commission.
