Fulbright-Hays Curriculum Projects

Purpose

These curriculum projects were developed by the participants as a result of their Fulbright-Hays Seminar Abroad experience in Australia. The projects are designed as lesson plans to be integrated into existing courses; or new courses to be integrated into existing programs in United States curriculum to increase students awareness and knowledge of Australia.

The projects have been listed below in specific study areas for which they were developed, with reference to the grade for which they were also delivered. Each project listed then provides a rationale and outline for their development and implementation; lesson background and key questions; lesson plans or outlines, and a list of relevant resource material. Some participants have also included feedback and / or examples of work from their students related to these classes.

Terms of Use

All curriculum projects and opionions expressed within them are solely the responsibility of the author. The Australian-American Fulbright Commission does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of information compiled in the projects. Although designed for the United States curriculum, these projects can be shared with the larger international education community and adapted for individual use in institutions, schools, classrooms, and communities.
