Fulbright Postgraduate Scholarships

For promising postgraduate students to undertake study in any field, to complete their Australian PhD; or to support enrolment in a U.S. postgraduate program. This scholarship supports an 8-12 month program.

Fulbright Postdoctoral Scholarships

For successful researchers who have completed their PhD in the past five years to undertake postdoctoral research in the U.S. This scholarship supports a 3-12 month program.

Fulbright Senior Scholarships

For academics (generally at Associate Professor or Professor level) to undertake research or teaching at a U.S. institution. This scholarship supports a 4-6 month program.

Fulbright Professional Scholarships

For aspiring mid-career professionals in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors to undertake training or research programs in the U.S. The scholarship is also open to people based in academic institutions whose primary research focus is professional or industry based, i.e. CRC or research institutes. This scholarship supports a 3-4 month program.

Other Fulbright Scholarships

Fulbright New Century Scholar Program

This program brings together 30 international and U.S. researchers to focus on a topic of global significance for 12 months. Applications and information is available at CIES.

Fulbright Scholar in Residence

This program provides the opportunity for an Australian academic to teach at a U.S. community or liberal arts college to help expand their international perspective and understanding. Applications and further information is available at CIES.
