fulbright victoria Scholarship

Supported through an endowment fund established by donations from the Victorian State government and all the Victorian based universities listed below.

To undertake postgraduate or postdoctoral study and research in the United States

Valued up to $A40,000

This Scholarship is open to Australian citizens who are residents of Victoria to undertake

8 – 12 months of study or research in the United States. Projects should focus on topics or issues relevant to Victoria, clearly articulating the benefits of such study and research to the State, as well as Australia.

Your program can commence any time between 1 July 2009 and the 30 June 2010.

Fulbright Scholarships include:

  • National Orientation Program and a Fulbright Presentation Dinner        
  • Enrichment Seminars in the United States with international Fulbright Scholars
  • Distinguished professional network with U.S. and Australian Fulbright Alumni Associations

  • A support agency in the U.S. that assists with visas, events, and networks

  • A J1 visa that allows Fulbright Scholars to work in their field in the U.S. for a further year following their study
  • Media support and publicity
