Postdoctoral Scholarships

Fulbright Postdoctoral Scholarships are available to Australian citizens to engage in 3 - 12 months of postdoctoral research or professional training in the United States. The scholarship is aimed at applicants who have recently completed a PhD. [Note: Your thesis must be lodged prior to submitting your Fulbright application]. The scholarship is generally offered to applicants who are no more than three years post-PhD, however, applicants who are four to five years postdoctoral and present a strong case will be considered. All else being equal, preference will be given to applicants who have not yet gained tenure at an institution.
