This Scholarship is open to Australian citizens who are Northern Territory residents to undertake 3 – 12 months of study or research in the United States. It is open to people from all professional fields, within any of the Fulbright Scholarship categories: Professional, Senior Scholars, Postgraduate and Postdoctoral. Projects should add value and contribute to the Northern Territory’s economic development and further research opportunities.
The Scholarship will be funded jointly for three years by the Northern Territory Government, Charles Darwin University (CDU) and a corporate sponsor, Blackboard Asia Pacific.
The program of research / study can commence any time between 1 July 2012 and the
30 June 2013.
Fulbright Scholarships include:
• National Orientation Program and a Fulbright Presentation Dinner
• Enrichment Seminars in the United States with international Fulbright Scholars
• Distinguished professional network with U.S. and Australian Fulbright Alumni Associations
• A support agency in the U.S. that assists with visas, events, and networks
• A J1 visa that allows Fulbright Scholars to work in their field in the U.S. for a further year following their study
• Media support and publicity
