The Fulbright Postgraduate Scholarship in Technology and Communications is for applicants who wish to undertake postgraduate research or study in the United States towards an Australian higher degree, or enrolment in a U.S. higher degree. Applications are invited from graduates who have an interest and commitment to a career in technology and communications.
Telstra is Australia's leading telecommunications and information services company. This Scholarship was established with Telstra in 2004 and the first scholarship was granted in 2005. In announcing the Scholarship, the then CEO of Telstra, Dr Ziggy Switkoski stated, "it is pivotal to Australia's future that we push the frontiers in technology and communication in the true spirit of the Fulbright Program, as a means of bringing the world together as never before. I hope that in some small way, the Fulbright Telstra Postgraduate Scholarship in Technology and Communication will help achieve this goal".
