There are several funding and networking opportunities available to eligible Alumni to further their career objectives through international exchange, collaboration and partnerships.
Fulbright Alumni Initiative Grant (FAIG)
The aim of the Fulbright Alumni Initiative Grant is to help build the individual Fulbright experience into long term organisational partnerships and linkages. The grants support any activities which achieve both short and long terms objectives of ongoing institutional collaboration. They do not support the completion of individual research projects or the writing up of academic publications. To be eligible, applicants must be Alumni of the Australian-American Fulbright Program, and not previously have received a Fulbright Alumni Initiative grant.

Projected visit takes place
- Funding of A$5,000 is provided to support either Australian or American Fulbright Alumni and their original home or host institutions to develop innovative projects that will foster institutional linkages and sustainable, mutually beneficial relationships.
- The projected visit must last from two to six weeks, and be undertaken between 1 July of the award year and 30 June of the following year.
- A number of grants of AUD$5,000 are awarded each year depending on budget.

Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF)
The U.S. State Department created the Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF) in 2011 to support alumni initiatives that promote shared values and innovative solutions to global challenges. The competition provides small grants to teams of past and current participants of U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs to carry out public service projects that utilize skills and knowledge they have gained through their exchange experiences.
